Innovations in the fields of development, product, maintenance, repair and operations. Digitisation is simultaneously a challenge and a gift for the future. The category honours concepts presenting solutions for a digitalized value-chain.
Reduction of emissions
Innovations striving for sustainibility and the reduction of emissions like noise, carbon dioxide and air pollutants. Driven by an increasing social awarness and the need for reduction, every segment of the aviation industry can realize an important impact and change.
Innovations out of non-aviation branches that find usage in the aviation industry and vice versa, innovations that have been developed for aviation and get used in other branches.

As an award winner your travelling to the IDL 2018 award ceremony in Berlin, where you receive your honour in front of an audience of high-level representatives out of politics, economy and research. The ceremony will take place during the ILA Berlin 2018.
Award winners receive prize money in a total of 20.000€. Moreover award winners receive multiple chances to present their projects at fairs. In 2016 and 2017, inter alia, hub.berlin welcomed and presented IDL winners.
Tendering for the third IDL 2018 will start on January, 3rd 2018 and will end on February, 25th 2018. Applications can be submitted in our german application portal, due to the requirement that essential steps of the value chain must be performed in germany.
